Default cluster question

i got a ex cluster in my 96 hatch now. why doesn't the gas light go on when my gas needles goes past the E? also, the cluster has the symbol to let you know when the doors are open, why doesn't that go off when the doors are open?

Im guessing your doing a cluster swap right? Well did you hook up the light to tell you when the gas is empty? What car is it in?

Im asuming that your using a 96-00 ex cluster.

I've put a 2000 ex cluster into my 98 cx with no problems. The low gas light went on just fine. Everything is just plug and play and you shoudn't have any problems.

My low fuel light doesn't come on untill the gauge is nearly below the bottom line. (I have an EX cluster as well) **** idiot lights, they only come on in EXTREME conditions. Like when you have less than a quart of oil in your car, the low oil light will come on. (that is not exact it is an example to show the uslessness of idiot lights) Don't worry about the lights coming on, just watch your gauges and check you oil every time you fill up your tank.
