cluster illumination not working.

cluster illumination not working.
All my gauges work. My indicators work. I know my check engine light works 
. It just doesnt light up. I changed clusters today for an ex one w/tachometer and they still dont light up. Some help. I check fuses and plugs in back of cluster. Nothing seems to be loose.

time to break out the mutimeter and check for continutiy between the wires
, probably the only way to find it
