Default Cleaning throttle body

96 Civic EX

I cleaned my throttle body today, first time ever believe it or not.

It was remarkably clean, not much carbon.

I cleaned the throttle plate, opened it and sprayed inside, used a shop rag, to get in there as far as I could.

I went to start the car took a few trys to turn over, finally did, ran rough for a bit.

Is this normal after cleaning it?

Well how much carb cleaner did you spray in there? That might do it.

Seems better, I tried not to over do it, but you have to spray into the throttle body somewhat.
