cleaning the inside of the tranny
i just purchase a d series tranny and i was wondering what do u guys use to clean the grease inside the tranny housing or do i just leave it alone. will brake cleaner helped clean it. thanks

brake cleaner works, close off the holes and take it to a quarter car wash. i have done that once or twice. but solvents will do the trick as well.

Brake parts cleaner and elbow grease. Unless you have access to one of those super-d00per cool auto washers that clean cylinder heads and blocks and what not, cleaner and a brush works wonders. Maybe some engine degreaser too.
