Cleaning headlights
my headlights have some kind of marks all over them that soap and water wont remove. there are no scratches in the lense, just some kind of wierd pattern (thats not really a pattern). does any one know of anything that will help me cure this problem? thanks. by the way, not sure if this belongs here or not but i know appearance is usually for non tech questions and i consider this to be tech.
thanks

Re: Cleaning headlights (miahmouse)
well... not sure what you are speaking of without pics....
but for like discoloration b/c of oxidation, i've used a light rubbing compound using a cloth or random orbital buffer...
hope that helps.

this is fine and good but if you're gonna tell them to do something like this you may want to inform that it's a lot longer of a process than just 1500 grit and polish...

not really take the 1500 grit sand it down till discoloration/scratches are gone and then take a polishing compound to it then wax it, pretty straight forward
