Default cleaned up my stock exhaust....check it out! :)

well I'm pretty low on cash, otherwise I'd have a different exhaust, so I decided to improvise!

I started by taking getting my car elevated, which was easy for me, I backed it out of my garage on to some ramps. Laid down some cardboard for back support, and started to get to work! I used a 12mm wrench to remove the axle-back spring-loaded bolts, but not too far because the rubber hangers were a bitch to get off. Trust me keep the bolts on 3/4 of the way, remove the rubber hangers so they're still connected to the muffler's flanges, with a little help of WD-40. Mine took a lot of strength to get them off! seriously it was crazy... Anyways, I took off the exhaust, grabbed a dirty microfiber and some soap, and scrubbed really hard on the main parts that I was planning on sanding(the visible areas). And rinsed off the other crap. I wiped it down and let it air dry for about 15 minutes. I then used 320 grit sandpaper, and sanded every area visible when the exhaust is on, and a little more. Make sure to not go in circle or diagonal motions, you'll leave lines that are much harder to sand out, try and stay in one motion back and forth, long fast streaks. Then I moved to 600 grit paper, and repeated exactly the same step. I would have gone higher, but I didn't have higher grit paper, I'll do it later this week, and buy like 900 grit paper, and do the little stuff. Then I plan on polishing it to make it shine that much more. Hope you guys like it! I sure do ^^

I painted my stock exhaust black and put a Stupid Hurts sticker on it... The next day I put my Tanabe Hyper medalion and burn my bumper!

kinda a bit like what i did...except you did too used too rough a grit. Your gonna regret it. If the muffler is 100% STOCK (meaning no paint, no previous sanding), then all you need to do is wet sand 1000 grit to remove dirt and grime. then 1500 grit, then 2000 grit and polish.

Hell, you could even skip the 1000 grit part if your muffler is already clean.
****, i've even skipped the 2000 grit part before because i ran out of 2000.
Use 1500 grit for sure though.
and 2000 if you have it.

then i applied mothers mag and alum polish, then used a dremmel with the cloth polish attachment.

OEM BLING!!!
