Clean engine bay?
Well Im planning on doing a swap tomorrow, and I was wondering what you guys use to clean up the engine bay while the motor is out.
Any specific type of cleaner? any tips?
Thanks

dish soap and water works good also since dish soap is also a degreaser just like all other engine degreaser just not as potent leaves a nice smell also haha

Re: Clean engine bay? (turbojdmhatch)
forgot where on here i read that simple green corrodes nuts and bolts...so i'd steer away from that...gunk works pretty good...try finding the ones that foams, not gel...less mess with the foam, works great too! used the gel gunk on my car...looks good, but needs to pressure wash it more...also leaves a pretty strong smell with the gunk stuff...

Re: Clean engine bay? (ek4_b16a)
I used Castrol Super Clean for my engine bay/ cars I clean in the summer. Can get it at wal*mart ([freak]'em) or anywhere like pep boys, autoshit, advanced autoparts ect. Should run you about anywhere from $4-8 but its good stuff. Oh yea and some elbow grease never hurt anyone so get in there and scrub that biatch.
