Anyone with 99-00 SI spoiler
I searched and I couldn't come up with what I'm looking for.
Just wondering if someone with the 99-00 civic si spoiler mounted could open up their trunk and snap some shots. Just wondering how the wires should be routed from the spoiler to the trunk. I know you drill 4 doles for the spoiler so I'm wondering if you drill a 5th for the wires? Also, just curious how the wires are mounted, where a good ground point for the green/white wire would be etc. I just need a couple quick pixs thats all!!!! Appreciate it

From what I remember when installing a spoiler on my old SI you have to drill just the outer trunk skin to run the wires into the trunk. You dont want to drill through both layers for the wires or they will be hanging inside the trunk, you can tap into the brake light from your inner tail/brake light. All this will be done between the trunk skins so no wires are exposed when the trunk is popped. Sorry no pics and the car is long gone.

Re: (GSRcivicDX)
So you drill the wires hole in between the two holes for the spoiler then?
Did you have any problems with the brake like fuse going out because of the LED's in the spoiler?

I believe that the hole for the brake wires is in between the 2 for the mounting but it has to go like 1/4in toward the center of the trunk. Its just where the trunk skins seperate, you want to make sure that you can run the wires between the trunk skins. You should be able to look at the bottom of your spoiler and see how far in you need to space it from the mounting holes, you will want to make sure that the hole you drill for the wires is in the same place the wires exit the bottom of the spoiler. As far as drilling the mounting holes if you look at the underside of the trunk there will be two raised circles on each side, these are the stock mounting locations. Never had any issues with the fuse blowing.

"Si" spoilers should mount pretty much the same as any other '96-'00 coupe spoiler.
The spoiler you're referring to is actually an option for all '99-'00 coupes.
The spoiler will mount on the very far edges of the trunk, on the outer side of the trunk seal. Then the harness should run through the trunk lid and plug into the plug which the third brake light is usually plugged into. Unplug the harness from the standard third brake light and plug the new spoiler harness into this socket instead.
I can check the fuses I have in my '98 EX coupe if you need me to. They essentially work and are installed the same way.
