clack rattle type exhaust maybe?
got a 2000ls motor in my 98 civic ex and i'm getting this odd clack clack noise when i start my car at first, then if i hit a bump it comes again. I thought it was my axels or something but its not constant, only when the first vibration of starting the motor and hitting a bump.
its coming from underneath the car for sure and i looked at my exhaust from below while starting my car and it moves a bunch. i'm thinking the rubber hanger things are worn out but not sure, anyway for sure to check it out without me taking it to an exhaust shop?

Re: (JDMlifestyle)
when people explain rattle, you mean like a metallic noise, this more like a thump i guess, like an object with a good amount of mass hitting another bigger object

Could be your muffler/piping hitting against something. Have somone turn on your car and check to see if anything vibrates alot. And be sure to check your hangers like you said.
EDIT: nevermind, you already did

Re: (Two_K Si)
checked it out, chunks of my nice carsound cat are coming apart on the inside and being blown around making the noise, i just blew out a honey comb chunk the size of a chicken mcnugget out the exhaust while at the shop
looks like time for a new cat.

Re: (BauleyCivic)
yea but not many options when considering a cat though. stock sucks ***, and others are way too expensive. and i don't want my car to smell like eggs and be loud with a test pipe.
so another carsound it is
so another carsound it is
