What does your "system" consist of?
I've run over 2000w rms for a loooong time now with no upgrades, and zero problems/dimming.

a true 2300 w stereo would drain somewhere around 200+ amps generally a good rule of thum is 10 amps per 100 watts I fried a brand new 140 amp alternator with my soundstream tarantula the same 1600watt amp was putting a real hurting on the alt in my saab which i think is a 90 ...id find the biggest alt you can fit and make sure you upgrade all the grounds going between your motor to the chassis got at least 4 guage for those

My subwoofer amp is considered to be VERY efficient, and it pulls 150a at full tilt...there are two more 300w amps that accompany that.
I don't always push my system to it's limits though, and like I said, I've never had a problem.
