Alternators??
Well my alternator just packed it in. I have an underdrive pulley system too which slows the alternator down. I also have a large stereo and was wondering if I should get a rebuilt alternator with more amperage or stick with the stock ones?? If I do go with a rebuilt what kind of amp rating should I be looking for? I know stock is 60 should 100 be enough or too much??

I do have the optima yellow top and a 1 Farad stiffening cap. Will the higher amp alternator make a difference in the bass response. I also have MSD ignition which also puts some aignition noise through the stereo (not much but a little). Would the new alternator (high output) increase this interferance or lesson it??
Sub wall with 4 15" subs enough of a large system?? I can put the civic one in (60amp) or modify the mounting bracket and put in a gm one(160 amp)... Anybody have any experience doing this??

Damn that's hella large. I'm surprised you didn't fry the stock alternator sooner.
I've installed a 200A marine alternator, it required some parts machining. Not too hard of a job.
