remove spare tire, and everything in the trunk, take out back seats and interior side panels, remove A/C. that might help you get started on your "diet"

LOL.... the car doesn't need weight reduction, it's the driver.

pull back seat out and remove all 3 steel plates, then remove all your seatbelt stuff, the whole unit everything, get harnesses.. Take out your speakers, bass box, carpet, just rip it all out.f-it......

He's probably confusing his gross weight with his curb weight.

That's what it sounds like suspendedhatch... Off the top of my head, the Gross weight on an 1992-1995 Civic EX (with optional rear disk brake package) like mine weighs in at 2,395lb's Curb, and 3,695lb's Gross... So I'm pretty sure he's just misunderstanding.

And I agree with the general statements here... Take out the back seats, and rear interior panels and carpeting. It can all be put back in later if you so desire.

Plus it makes you 'look' like a racer, and looks are always more important than actual performance... Remember that.

The only thing worth removing are those subs and your spare. Unless you really need those .2 of a second its not worth it especially if its a daily driver.

Well with all of this said, you mine as well make it into a one seater! take out ur passenger side too, just have your g/f site on the hard metal. . just remember to buy seat cushions. Get lighter and better suspensions too, with a lightened set of rollers. You should shed some pounds off of it.

good luck!

Be a savage, rip out the dash and then take out all the pieces under there, AC (if present), heater core, heater plastic pieces, all the parts of HVAC. Then put your gutted dash back. With all that **** gone you could hide a body under there

weight reductions aren't hard. just pull out any interior pieces that you don't need to drive your car. there is no real trick to it.

LOL, yeah and make sure you have a helmet, even if you are far from the 13's.

Powersteering, it gets rid of parasitic loss as well. I think it gives a better control feel as well, plus when you turn the steering wheel fast enough it doesn't help anyways cause you can out run it.

Lighter littler battery

Gotta powersunroof? do you actually use it? consider a CF block off plate.

Power Mirrors, Windows, Locks

Sound Deadening

Cruise Control

Radio is quite heavy

And other stuff of course

OMG I just checked, i'd have to say take that extra 828 lbs out of the car. I dunno if you weighed it with your family in it or what, but sheezus.

3440 Yours
