civic VX b16a2 swap in progress.......wire harness questions
im doing my b16a2 swap into my 94 vx hatch. the motor went in the car without any problems. but i have some questions about the wiring harness
i am using my VX harness because it has the vtec already wired into it. i have plugged in everything on the b16a2 but i have about 6 plugs that dont go to anything....what should i do? also some of the plugs have one that looks identical to another and thay can both plug into the same thing ....help??
also i cant find the plug for the coolant temp sensor on the vx harness....
how do i wire up the knock sensor?
how do i convert my vx harness to accept a 4 wire b16a2 0-2 sensor??
any help would be appreciated...thanks

First off try to start the car. Whatever code you throw is what isnt hooked up correctly and you need to reconnect it with the correct plug. Then the left over plugs you just cut any left over plugs, or let them hang whichever your preference is.
Knock sensor is 1 wire, plug a 1P to the knock and run the wire straight the ecu, look here and find out how to do that: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=642479
For the O2 sensor look here and find out how to do it as well: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=642479
Happy swapping.

cool thanks man.....if you dont mind i might pick your bran about other things with the swap too.
its just kinda scary seeing plugs just hanging not being used.....is that normal during a swap? i know the VX has all kinds of emissions crap on it and extra sensors. maybe thats what the extra plugs are from.....

Actually i just gave you a very vague view of what to do. I just told you to search because i doubted i would see you post again. But seeing as you did ill help you out further.
All swaps will come out with left over plugs if there not the exact harness for that motor. Your using a VX when you should be using a Del Sol B16 plug. Also if you do an Auto to man. then you have alot more plugs left over. Dont worry about them youll be fine.
Find the knock sensor then run a wire from the knock sensor to the ecu at D3. Here is a pic to help you figure where its at (your at the very bottom):
Now for the o2 thats a little more to do. Honestly instead of me typing it up just go here and itll have your info:

dont know if the pictures are right and the labels are wrong but the b16a2 is actually the obd2 motor and the b16a3 is the obd1 motor. wicked!

Which ECU are you using? If you are using an OBD I ECU here is one way...http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...14242 and here is another (in this one scroll through the o2 wiring snippet is towards the end)...https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=919292
If you're using the VX harness, I know you'll have the EGR plug left, the o2 won't fit, I think the alt is different, that's all I can think of right now, but yea, see if you can get it power and pull teh codes.

Thatb would be because on that picture the B16A2 (which is OBD IIb) is listed as OBD I (which would be the B16A3) and for some reason the diagram has the D plug labeled as C plug, so if you look at it (the one on teh bottom) look at C plug second from the left on top.
