Default Civic SI Intake Fit into Civic HX?

My friend gave me his intake from his 96-00 Honda Civic SI. Can anyone tell me before I start taking my car apart if this will fit into my 2000 Honda Civic HX? I believe this a cold air intake as part of it goes behind the bumper.

didnt know they made 96-98 si's... you will likey gain no HP on a intake mani swap on a unboosted HX.

The Si only came in '99-'00 model years. The throttle body is larger on a DOHC motor compared to your HX. I am not positive about if the HX model has the hole in the fender where the tubing goes thru. Good luck in your project. If it doesn't fit, it only takes a few minutes to put the original back on anyways... go for it and see for yourself!

OP may be in Canada. Our EX is equivalent to their Si, and our Si to their SiR.

The HX throttle body is a bit smalller than the D16Y8 and the B16A2, but it can be made to work. CAIs are easy to rig up.
