Civic scraping noise in Reverse gear

Civic scraping noise in Reverse gear
I have a 98 Honda Civic DX.
In Reverse, there is a loud metal against metal scraping sound coming from beneath the car. In 1st gear there is no sound.
I just start it up, put it in Reverse and slowly back up and I get the sound. I put it 1st and go forward and there is no sound.
Any thoughts on what this might be?
Thanks.
