Default civic problem

bought a 2000 civic ex 2 dr cpe on tuesday and am already having a few problems with it.. first yesterday the radio shut off while i was driving, not the head unit itself.. just the music stopped playing.. since then it keeps cutting in and out even at very low volume.... then today i was driving and the radio cut out then the a/c shut off too. checked all fuses and all good.. started car up and the a/c works again.. got out of work and a/c doesn't work at all anymore.. radio keeps going in and out.. anyone have an idea?

How old is the car? How many miles? A ground loosening on its own is rare, although in some cases where cars are exposed to humidity and moisture (both in and out of the car), a grounding spot for the harness may be compromised with rust, thus making an inconsistent connection. Driving around, hitting bumps and such would surely cause the connection to go between on and off.

car is 2000 honda civic ex with 110k miles, just bought it so i don't know much about it.. pretty much sounds like it is an issue with the dash harness... there is no carpet in the car, so a flood could be a possibility that i didnt think of when i bought it.

Do u haved a aftermarket stereo? If u do, I would try taking that out and inspecting the wires close to the stereo or harness on the conecter i had the same problem, wires cut and rigged and taped... took em apart and solder them the right way...so check it out worth a try..

There is a ground that is bolted down on the dash framework behind the ac/radio bezel. Remove the cig lighter panel and and pull out the ac\radio bezel to find it.
