No power to radio, clock works, checked all fuses
I bought a 94 civic ex with no radio, it had been stolen so all wires had been cut. I installed a new jvc kd-hdr30 radio today, using soldering iron and shrink tubing. Plugged the radio in and it wouldn't work. So I checked and rechecked all of the fuses(under hood and dash) several times. I also turned the car to on and used a multimeter to check the voltage between the constant 12v and the ground as well as the switched 12v to the ground, no voltage, used the chassis as a ground as well to make sure.
I'm really confused on this one, the clock works but is barely lit up, very hard to see even at night.

I will let you know if I ever figure this out, read through as many similar threads as possible, a few had similar problem but some didn't post their solution.

Looked over it again in the daytime, double checked fuses with fuse checker, all were fine. I had already visually checked the cig lighter/radio fuse, but I hadn't pulled the backup fuse and looked at it. Pulled it and it was blown, not sure why the fuse checker would show continuity through it plugged in but not unplugged. Radio works good now.
Only thing is that antenna cord is about 2 inches short from extending out of the opening, so I have no idea how I am going to plug it in. Works fine without radio being plugged in, just can't get any stations. Is this normal for the antenna cord to be too short? Need to replace it anyway, antenna clipped off about halfway down.

Try conecting the yellow wire
Together with the power
I had couple of cars that had to do so for the radio to get power
Or just run the power from somewhere else
