check tranny light
ok, my guage cluster was acting up, so i swapped in another one. on that one, the check tranny light was on.. so i look at the other cluster, and the bulb was shattered.. so i change the bulb and put that cluster back in and check tranny light is on... so, now i dont know how long its been on or anything. my question is..
what problems could make this light come on?
my tranny doesnt feel any different from the day i bought it. i've had it about 1 year now.. its a 95 CX with d16z6 in it. any help would be nice

Re: check tranny light (disposable)
I've never heard of this light but I drive a manual trans, my guess would be that your low on fluid is all and need to top it off, check it and if its low check for leaks because the fluid dosent just disapear.
Also a cloged filter could cause some sort of light to go on because of low fluid pressure.
You could also be up for the shedualed maintence on it.
These are all just guesses tho, but seeing the other responses far better information for you to go with then theres.

Re: check tranny light (Street Ghost)
I'm pretty sure he means the CEL as eg's didnlt have TCMs, therefore, no check tranny lights. Eks are a diff story though....
Seriously though, if its an amber light in the right center of the cluster, read some of the ECU code threads on the board and pull the code.

Re: check tranny light (93civcoupe)
ok guys... i think i might have read the code wrong... i watched the video about it... my single blinks werent really bright, but i believe i got codes 21 and 22... the blinks were longer than i thought and the single blips afterward were really hard to see.. but it would go !......! then !......!! and over and over..
21 VTEC spool solenoid valve
22 VTEC pressure valve
