xtd/ f1/ stage 3/4 will hold fine and cost effective for 200whp... try and get the (WHITE PRESSURE PLATE) ... the blues/black are crappy and sometimes reds

"Hi there, I'd like the cheapest condom to protect me from getting HIV."

Get an Exedy OEM or organic stage 1. Should run you about $200.

Would you really try to save $100-200 at the risk of your transmission and time/labor?

"hey, i am a broke college kid and have to save some money to pay rent, what would be a decent clutch for cheap"

typical honda-tech response "more money=nicer stuff"

no ****, if i had more money i wouldnt be asking the question. and if money wasnt an issue 70% of people on this forum would own evos.

and yes, i would risk my transmission and time/labor.

The cheapest clutch I would recommend is an Exedy OEM or organic stage one.

Daikin/exedy makes our OEM clutches.

This is exedys Organic stage one:

For $120 the oem replacement is kickass. I've heard of plenty of people running them on boosted d-series for years with no problems. it was recommended to me by a guy with a d-series turbo at the shop where I got my transmission replaced.

My roommate when i lived in Phoenix had a 450whp b18b with a stage one organic exedy. Ran fine. I drove it a couple of times and it was easy to drive. Scary car.

Not terrible sure. For a d-series an OEM replacement is for a ~110-120hp engine. For a bseries it's more like 150hp for an OEM replacement.

If at all possible I would wait and get the stage one organic. Or see if you can find one in good shape used maybe.

I'm not sure I think that would be out of the question. It might work? I believe they're replaced because they wear out too.
