changed dizzy and came up with a problem...
well my girls dizzy went out and just went through a day of hell. Bad towing service, bad shop service, and everything else that comes along with it. Anyways i threw in a new dizzy using the old cap and rotor (still in okay condition). After i threw it in and test drove it, the car lags. Talked to a buddy of mine and he said it was the timing on the dizzy...(first time doing a dizzy job haha) so i fix the timing which is set at 800rpm at idle. Test drove and the car runs alot better but it still has the lag. Also the car picks up but only after you past 3500 rpm but below that even if you floor it it doesn't pick up. this happens through every gear. What could be the problem? I was reading earlier that having your timing off can cause your head to warp and basically ruin the motor???need some serious help guys. thx.
o and the car is a 98 civic ex coupe. dizzy was bought from autozone (limited life time warranty)

get a timing set it to 12 degrees. i had the same problem with my d16a. just make sure you hot wire the computer like you were to run codes while your adjusting the timing.
