Default CEL Reset Question

Okay, so a while ago, I had a CEL, i checked the code with the paperclip/sensor method and saw 41 (o2 sensor)
Replaced the sensor and the light went out.
Never thought to reset the battery since the light was out.
Now I am about to smog and, and stuck in a paperclip in the sensor (to adjust ignition timing) and saw that my 41 code was still in memory.

Does this mean I will fail smog? Will the smog guy see this code?
If so, and if I reset the battery to clear the code, how long will I have to drive the car around before smogging? ( Give the ECU time to adjust itself etc)

Thanks
David

Default Re: CEL Reset Question (dskater411)

After the reset, the ECU should be ready for the smog test within a short period of driving, probably 10-20 minutes.
