Default carsound cat (25.in to 2.25in???)

ok guys im gettina jdm header so i need a 2.5inch inlet on the cat but i need a 2,25in out let to hook up to a apex world sport exhaust. ive got a 96 coupe w/ b18c5, currently runnin stock factory civic exhaust. let me know if i can get that cat from car sound or another source, has to be a direct replacment of my current civic cat

unless you have the world sport already, you may be better off getting a custom 2.5" exhaust done so you have the same diameter throughout.

otherwise, get a carsound with 2.5" inlet/outlet and the muffler shop can just weld on a tapered section of pipe in that will smoothly downsize the outlet's 2.5" to the world sport's 2.25".

I got mine from Hybridgarage.com (carsound).

I'm running a thermal B-pipe and it bolted up fine to that as well as the stock b-pipe. Even though the piping diameters are different, the flange pattern is still the same.

Also it doesnt look to have and option w/ a 2.5inlet and 2.25in outlet, but anyway some jus compleelty cleear this up for me. W/ a 2.5in cat outlet and flange, will the apex world sport cat-back be a direct bolt up to it??

If it bolts up to your stock cat, it will bolt up to the hybrid garage one. Just make sure you get the correct length cat.

Mine is a 2.5". I paid $119 shipped UPS next day air. Ordered it Thursday, it shipped friday and I recieved it saturday. It came with flanges welded on and a bung for the o2 sensor. Most places that have carsound cats list a base price for the actual cat and then they charge extra to weld everything up. I was willing to pay a little extra knowing I didn't have to go to an exhaust shop and get everything welded up. $119 shipped is the lowest price i could find for something I could bolt up out of the box.

What place did you get your cat with the flanges already welded?
