Car won't start - wierd situation
Hello,
My car won't start. Here's a little background info:
2000 civic si, B16A2. It used to be turbo, and I got pulled over, long story though. I decided to take the turbo off and replace with n/a parts. Got a new radiator, slim fan, header, intake, and plugged all the turbo oil lines. It has a 3-bar map sensor, Hondata S200 and a OBD I P28 ecu. It started fine before I took off everything, but it sat for about 4 months without ever starting. When I finally got everything straightened out tonight, I went to crank it up but it doesn't start. It doesn't crank, the fuel pump doesn't even prime. Battery is fine, all electronics work when key is in acc. position (lights, turn signals, alarms, etc.)
I thought it might be either a starter fuse, the starter, the clutch pedal switch or something to do with my alarm/kill switch.
All the fuses look OK, and I've never heard of a starter failing due to not using it for a long time. This goes for the clutch switch as well.
Any ideas on why this pos won't start? ThankS!
-Sean

Re: Car won't start - wierd situation (Sean @ ESG)
Sounds like it could be the main relay. Stupid question but have you checked the conections to your ECU and the ECU fuse? But usually the fuel pump not priming is a fuse, the ECU or a main relay. If you don't know where the main relay is, if you take out your glove box it will he right there to the right in an EM1. Now in paymeant for the answer you can donate your old turbo kit to me.

turbo kit is sold, but thanks for the help. I have checked the ECU and it's A ok. I have yet to check the main relay, I will check it in the morning. I am kind of convinced it's a problem with the alarm system. When it comes to wiring though I'm a complete idiot.
