car wont start SOMETIMES
i have a 1993 cx, all stock. it starts up fine every day, but everytime i stop at a gas station or store for a few minutes and go back to the car, the car would not start anymore. the car would start for 1 second but immediately die after. i would have to wait about 10 to 15 minutes before the car would start again. anyone have ideas on the problem??

Had the same problem w/my mom's car in the morning(I live in NYC btw and its winter). Anyways, changed the distributor and it solved my problem. It also solved the leakage problem i had before too.

yea try the main relay , a good way for me to check the main relay is to turn the key to on position and watch the check engine light if u hear a cliking noise at the same time the check engine lite goes away ur main is working if not u main is bad.
Try that when the car doesnt start

I have a problem!!
The car's a Honda Civic 1993 DX auto transmition 1.5L. However, i have a problem with this car. Ever since i installed the distributor, the car is slow. when you start it and put it in drive, you push the gas little by little and u won't notice the difference but when you push it down a bit further, the car's engine starts making a noise like its going under high speed when its going from 20mph and up and the car looks like its carrying something heavy. Also, when it starts changing gears automatically u can feel that the car is suffering...
from 25-30 and from 35-40, the car holds off which is when its changing gears. Also, when it does, for 4 or 5 secs the car sounds like its suffering and then it gains power. Maybe a transmission problem but it was working fine before i changed the distributor. Maybe timing is off? I'm such a newbie at this.

If the problem started after u put the new distributor in mmm did u mark where the old distributor was or u just took the old one out and put the new one with out marking anything, if so get a timing light and put in time or just try moving the distrubutor back and foward.
Try that and see what happends

Could be as simple as a bad ground, starter, or battery. Check the simple stuff first. Starting a car that is warm requires the most work, so your starter is undermost stress as are the grounds and it will require the most energy from you battery.
The reason it's hardest when warm is all the metal has expanded and the seals/clearances are a lot tighter.
