Car won't start... main relay? ground?
Hey guys...
I have an H22A4 in a EJ8 (97 EX Coupe) and it won't start. Car cranks but does not start. I checked to see if the fuel pump is getting power, and it is not. Main relay is not making any noise. Could it still be bad? Where is the main relay in an EJ8....?
I also tried to see if I had a thermostat ground coming from my thermostat to a ground on the car. I did not. I added a 10 ga wire from the thermostat housing to the screw the battery ground connects to on the fender. Nothing.
Car just cranks and cranks, but makes no ticking noise, and I can't hear the fuel pump. I put in a Walbro 190 as well, brand new, hoping maybe that would solve the problem (before I tested to see if the pump got power).
So... main relay not clicking, thermostat housing grounded, and fuel pump fuse is good.
Any suggestions?
Thanks guys...

Re: Car won't start... main relay? ground? (beak)
The main relay could be your problem but also check to see.
1. If your getting spark
2. Do you have the right ecu
Also the main relay is located on the passanger side, take the glove box out and the main relay is right about the glove box and a 10mm bolt is holding it in place.
I hope this info helps you!!

Thanks, the main relay fixed the problem, and brought the H22 to life
