ok it turned over once and then putt-putt then it wouldn't do anything else?

checked all fuses and that one rely by the glove box :S

this is a 98 cx by the way.

wondering wut can it be, i tur the key and everything primes up but when i start it,; nothing happens just slience?

battery works fine...i'll check the starter tho...i doubt it but its worth a try.....isn't there a rely or something behind the steering wheel?

What was done to your car that brought it to its disabled state? If the engine doesn't turn over at all, ie it doesn't crank over, then your starter's 12v connection may be disconnected, or you may need to replace the starter all together. Use a voltage tester to ensure it's getting continuity as well, if not, it's probably a fuse within the engine bay (they are located to the left of the intake port). Good luck!

well i'll check on the location of that fuse box
lol i think i know where it is...like i said i checked all fuse boxes.
no alarm or kill switches...STOCK car.

anythingelse would be helpful...o and no lamo responses either like...did u check the battery...yes...fully chared battery....etc.....i just got to check on that starter.

if your started died usually you will hear a "click" when you try to start the car. But an easy way to test the starter is get a piece of wire and put it on the positive side of the battery and put it where the female clip goes onto the starter.....make sure you DO NOT put it on the ground....if it starts cranking its not the starter. Hope that helps

Shame on your last remark. You should be grateful that people are replying to your request. As "lamo" as a respose you may think, you would be surprised how many technicians don't check their battery or that it may not have enough cranking amps to turn an engine.

First check your ground on the started, sometimes the connector gets loose and worn out and it can slip off while starting and will just fall off the next time you try. Thats probly the problem, if thats not the case try to tapp on the starter close to the end were the brushes are at with a extension or something solid like that and make sharp quick taps as someone is tryin to crank it over. if none of that works then try one of your freinds battery cause your cold cranks might not be good enough. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by arielb1 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

i wasn't say all the responses were lame. i just thought the comment on where the fuse box location was such a *** question. i mean if u own a car and you have no idea where your fuse box is then you should own one thats all.

i would check any and ALL wiring, ALL fuses, and make sure you have gas in the car! Ive done that before...LOL...Is it turning over, or clicking, or neither?
