shut the car off, put it into gear, try to start. if the car bucks while cranking, it is a hydraulic issue, your clutch isnt fully diesngaging.
if it starts fine and you let the clutch out and it sits there, could be the clutch could be internal.
it may even be a busted axle. there are a few things that can cause this.

do you mean, when you let go of the clutch, it makes a clickin noise? if so its your transmission, and you may need a new one, because same thing happened.
could be your throw out bearings.
so you sure u cannot put it into anygears at all?
if you can start the car with the car in gear, then its most likely your clutch(a friend of mine had his car like that, took the tranny out, and it was a clutch that was LITERALLy shattered apart lol...)

Re: car wont go into gear need help
its not the axles they are good
the noise comes from the fork or clutch release bearing somewhere around there
just stated it it stays on even with it being in gear ?clutch ?

my money is on clutch. read around on the first and second page of the 92-95 civic sub-forum because there is another post from a dude with the exact same problem as you.
read up in that thread for some more solutions.
