Default car wont fire...

so 2 days ago my 93 honda civic with a d15 just cranked and cranked the spark plugs were fine the wires were fine so the next thing i could think of were cap and rotor well turns out that was it the bolt on the rotor was snapped off from the owner that i had bought the car from. so i pulled it out with and easy out and put it back in. well the car ran great for about 45 seconds and then i shut it off to check over everything and move the tools and when i went to start it it just cranks and cranks again. the CEL was on for and o2 sensor but i figured that maybe there could be something new and it had a code 9 (Cylinder Position Sensor) how did that get messed up with the cap and rotor? whats wrong? and last how can i get my car running for as cheap as possible.

If the rotor retaining screw broke some times the head of the screw get stuck to the insides of the distributor because there are magnets on the inside and if that happens it can cause damage to the internal because if it rubing to wires and sensors
