Car starting.. not staying on.. HELP!

Car starting.. not staying on.. HELP!
we just swapped in a 0bd2 gsr into my gf's 97 hatch. the motor cranks and turns over but then just dies. it stays on if we rev it, but onces we let off it dies. we checked all plugs for spark and they're all good. any ideas. thanks
