Default car squeeking.. rattle

Evening gents,

Yesterday while I was stuck on the freeway my car began making some strange noise. At first I thought it was my exhaust, but after my dad took it to the shop he works at he said the exhaust looks fine. After we let it idle for about 2-3 mins we got her up to 2500rpm and the noise was terrible, at the side of the car it sounds like a sqeeking/loose change sound. It's can really hear it when it idles down from 2500, but its constant from 1k to redline. You cant hear it in the engine bay, but its noticable under the car. No loss in performance and car runs fine, but that noise is terrible. Car is stock 00 Civic Si. Any ideas?

Nope, car is bone stock. Tranny seems fine, clutch feels good to. Car has no lose in power but that rattle is so annoying. I did take 4 people to a party last night... car was pretty packed.

Lots of weight in the car? Check your swaybar endlinks in the front

Check the mount bolts and washers, especially the rear transmission mount.

Well it's not a blocked cat since the car doesnt have any performance/startup issues. Car runs perfectly fine, but the noise is the problem. I want to find out what is causing this, seems to be coming from where the stickshift/cat is tho.

try lifting the car up and hitting the cat. if you hear the rattle noise then its your cat. and also check your heat shields around the exhaust they could be causing the noise as well
