car is smoking alot
my check engine light keeps coming on and off by itself and everytime it throws a code of 80. and now my car in the mornings when i turn it on to warm it up(its garage kept) it starts to smoke alot more than usual but that goes away after i drive it for awhile. any help or comments would be much appreciated

for the gaskets, call the dealer ... or you can get cheapy ones from AutoZone or Pep Boys. They're not expensive, so I'd rather get the OEM ones. If you are replacing the intake manifold gasket, make sure to torque to 17 ft-lbs from center-out.

everyone says to look out for the blue smoke but thank god mine is only really thick white smoke... does that mean anything???

white smoke is water, usually a coolant leak. if this occurs early in the morning when it's really humid, it's normal. Otherwise, it's a leak.
Blue smoke is oil, and black smoke is incomplete combustion if I remember correctly.

the easiest qucikest cheapest fix is, go buy some of that "Lucas Oil Stabalizer" (you can buy it at pep boys etc...)and do an oil change with Penzoil (formulated for high mileage engines). Than add the whole bottle of Lucas Oil Stabalizer in there. Man that stuff really works miracles, I used to have a 92 VW GTI that burned oil alot and when I added that Lucas stuff and an oil change it didnt burn oil at all anymore. My friends with old Hondas have done the same. Try that before spending alot of money...

Lucas really does make some damn good products... I recommend that everyone use Lucas products on their car... they are really great and worth every penny!
