Default Car smells rich, poor gas milage.

I have a 99 B18B1 in my 97 CX, and the swap runs great, no codes (other than the infamous code 91). When I get out of my car after I turn it off, I can smell fuel in the exhaust. Plugs were replaced recently (100 miles ago).

What are the most common culprits for this? I'd search, but I'd be a million people with a million problems getting a million different answers. I'd just like it all laid out for me.

TIA.

Usually running rich means a bad O2 sensor... no codes thought? Your sure?

I'm going to go check tomorrow. I suppose I should. I keep throwing a code, but I've always thrown a code. Figured it was just the same one popping up again.

Guess I trot on down to Autozone tomorrow

Went and got the codes read, and no O2 sensor. The only codes it was throwing were P0450 and P0453, wich is just the Code 91 issue (FTP sensor).

Any more sugguestions?

I'm aware of the fixes for the code 91, but I'm pretty sure that's not my problem. I could be wrong

Timing should be spot on.

230-260 to a tank with a stock B18B1 in a 97 Civic CX.

When you get 230-260 miles, how many gallons are you filling up?

bump because i've got a smiliar situation.

It started happening after the header/TB/intake install. Before I was getting ~290miles off 10gals. Now I'm only getting 250-260

But if you think about it that's not too bad for a b18b. Right around the EPA rating.

check and see if you have any leaks in your fuel system. fuel lines are tight, o rings on the injectors are good, etc. and did you replace your fuel filter

Damn, what's wrong with your car? When I had my Y7, I got 320 to a tank. In fact, when I was running a stock P06 on my b18 (regardless of the other problems, such as fluxuating cold idle, and loss of power), I ran out of gas at 328.

It's just odd that a stock P75 will net me no more than 260.

Hasn't been done in a while. How often should you change your fuel filter? According to Honda, thier fuel filters don't ever need to be changed on any OBD2 cars.
