I got in my car the other day early in the morning it was cold out. I drove down the road and the car was driving normally. As I got onto the main road I picked up speed and it felt like the car was loosing power and didnt want to climb up to vtec. so the whole ride home was like that and I had no idea what was wrong, so I went home and talked to my buddy and he said bring it over and wel check it out so about 5 to 10 minutes later I get into the car and it was running perfect i had no idea wtf, oil was very low in the car so I got an oil change the next day. Now tonight I just got off work and its cold outside again and the same thing happend. the car just felt really weak.. Does anyone klnow anything about this problem or does anyone know a solution its driving me crazy and I just took it out for a drive and it seems fine again I have no clue any advice will help thanks alot

what kinda car? motor? ecu? did you let it come up to temp?

car is a 97 dx and I didnt let it warm up to temp

Try letting the car warm up before you take off and let us know what happens.

1) Never let an engine run low on oil.

2) When were the plugs, wires, cap and rotor last checked or replaced?

3) Any CEL codes?

I bought the car from some dude down the street which didnt take care of the car at all man, im pretty much salvging it. I mean it doesnt look bad or run bad but I put enoug into it already. and I have no idea how long it has been since wires plugs ext. were chnaged.

just lt the car warm up for about 15 minutes all the way up and now it drives normal I guess I should always warm the car up to full when its cold, didnt have that problem in sept lol

yea when the car is cold it runs on a 'closed loop' system and when it gets up to temp the sensors take over and ur now in an 'open loop' system. it to prevent damage
