Default Car jerking and shuting off

While driving my car will jerk. This just started Saturday but than stopped and did it today Tuesday. It would jerk like its want to cut off. When I come to a dead stop, the car turns off by it self. I talked to a buddy and he said replace the fuel pump. I already replaced the fuel filter, cap and rotor 2 months ago. When the car jerks, its like the whole car jerks, its sometimes a small jerk or a big jerk. Thanks!

Start by checking your grounds. If you grounds are good check your main relay. My car does the same thing, but I know the relay is bad already. Just haven't had the time+motivation to change it yet. If you don't already have a spare one, you might want to pick one up anyways.

92-95 near dash fusebox, or kick panel. 96-00 above passenger side kick panel or to the left of the glovebox.

Also this morning when i went to start to start it to warm up. In less than a minute it turned off. I was the rpm drop and as it was dropping, you can hear the engine make a weird noise.

I fixed it, the rotor in the distributor was loose even tho the screw was tight. What happened is I replaced the rotor 2 months ago from autozone and the fitting that goes on the shaft was bigger. The new one was smaller and tighter. Car works great now.
