Car doesn't start after installation of MSD 6BTM ign. box and blaster2 coil
Like the title says...I installed my ignition setup (6BTM & blaster coil...96 Civic with a GSR swap) according to this website http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/msdbtm/msd.php and now the car isn't even getting spark. Obviously something isn't right. The only thing that i'm halfway unsure of is the white wire that connects to the white/blue wire on the distributer that is marked.
Taken from MSD's website on the white wire
There are two circuits that can be used to trigger the MSD Ignition;
a Points circuit (White wire) and a Magnetic Pickup circuit (Violet
and Green wires). The two circuits will never be used together.
White wire: This wire is used to connect to the points, electronic ignition
amplifier output or to the Yellow wire of an MSD Timing Accessory.
When this wire is used, the Magnetic Pickup connector is not used.
Another "problem" is that I am actually waiting for the timing switch, as the ignition box didn't come with it when I bought it from a member on here....although that shouldn't prevent the car from getting spark should it?
I'm going to go check the power/ground wires to make sure there is a good connection, and also see if i'm getting 12v at the ignition on wire.
Any help on what could possibly be wrong would be a huge help.

i assume the screw is stuck? i had a new rotor with my msd. so i just broke the old one off and removed the screw with some vice grips.

alright, one more thing. On the white/blue wire and black/yellow wire, I just spliced in the wires outside the distributer because I didn't want to cut a hole in my cap. Could that be the problem?

well alright then...i suppose i'll do what I have to do to get that rotor off so I can run it inside the dist. That's really the only reason that I didn't do it. I bought the dist. with the MSD cap and no internal coil....
ugh, this blows lol. auto parts stores should stock the rotor, correct?

alright, I got the rotor off. So the white wire should go to the sensor inside of the distributer? i just want to make sure i'm doing this right...I really don't want to have to do it again.
btw, i'm really not a noob, i've just always left the ignition system alone on all of the hondas i've had...which was probably a good thing

alright, so I was looking at those pictures on that website, and my distributer doesn't even appear to be the same it is a p73, and it almost looks like the black/yellow and white/blue aren't in the same places as those pictures

I just don't know whether i should splice the wire in, or just run it from the sensor in the distributer to the ignition box.
