Car is dead and has no power! Don't know where to start
I replaced my transmission ground cable two weeks ago and since it's been hard to start. Spark plugs were put in two days ago and still hard to start.
Last night driving home under decent acceleration my speedometer jumped and CEL went off (for the first time ever) and then came back to normal.
Today! Was driving home and it was stumbling really hard under acceleration as if the car was shutting off and on. I got home, pulled in the driveway, and the car completely died....... no lights, power, acc, cranking fuel pump.. anything.
The ecu wasn't fried
battery connections were good.
and no fuses in the engine bay were toasted.
Where do I start with this?

Re: (wmac)
The ground looks good but the car would at least turn on when the key is turned, regardless of cranking. My mom suggested the battery being completely drained since there is no kind of mark on it showing when it was installed.

when i did my clutch i forgot to but my ground back on and it wouldn't start power everything cept no fuel or crank the cel didn't turn on also so i put the back on and it started right up try sanding down a on a piece of metal and attach the ground to that or the block and see if that helps

let's do this again
no headlights
no high beams
no hazards
no accessories
no radio
no blown fuses.
nothingg is getting power when anything in this car is turned on.

anyone else? I want to know before i have to bum a ride to autozone and get a new battery
i'm figuring it's that as when the horn button is pressed it sounded REALLY weak. the relay relay was louder than the horn itself

Bring your alternator and current battery to autozone as well and have the alternator and battery both tested.

i was just going to bring the battery for now to see if it's good. there's no time to pull the alternator when there's a job interview within the next two hours lol
but will get on that as a part two (if neeed)

ok problem solved!
for ***** and giggles I sanded the terminals and copper ring where it connect the battery and it started right up.
so much blue-corrosion stuff
