Car is bogging at low rpms.
Whenever i drop below 2500 rpms or so, my car shakes back and forth and kind of bogs out. I have a b16a2, running hondata s200 in an EG. For the longest time i didnt pay much attention because as long as you keep the rpms above 2500 in 2nd gear and up, you cant notice anything. It doesnt happen in 1st gear so i thought maybe im just not supposed to go that low with my rpms in my higher gears... But now after driving my friends type r, i noticed his car runs perfectly smooth at those rpms... and it got me thinking why mine runs so rough.
Any ideas? it cant be the lightened flywheel because it did the same thing before i installed it. Is the b16 just like that because it lacks low end power?

yea, my 2000 si is the same way. It because our b16a2's have no torque as most other b16's. U just have to rev high like above 2k to lanch harder. My clutch needs to be replaced so that is just making the situation worse.

Lack of torque shouldnt be causing a bogging/bucking problem.
More than likely your timing is off, or the hondata needs to be tuned better. Either way, its almost def ignition or fuel related.
Check timing, check timing belt to see if its off a tooth, have someone check your fuel maps. I had a B16 teg, it pulled smoothly from 1,500rpms to redline.

Timing would do it, but the PCV would be more of an idle issue. Motor mounts wouldnt cause stumbling or bogging, but would cause a rough idle.

timing maybe, although i recently put new cams in and we completely adjusted the timing with a timing gun. Ill try messing with the distributor, advancing it or retarding it.

maybe the hondata needs more tuning or it's a timing issue.
