hey i just swapped an itr motor in my car but for some reason the car accelerates very very slow. after i step on the gas it takes a few seconds then the rpm will start to move. i have to high rev it to about 3-4 to get it moving but when i let go of the clutch i have to like step on the gas all the way then the car will start moving very slowly.

Re: Car accellerates very slowly help! (crazyguy)
it is throwing a cel but i haven't checked on that, firing order is correct; if it wasnt then my car wouldn't start up, idle is ok, a bit below 1 rpm

i had mess up fireing order one time and car still starts up and drives.but it is slow as hell.
if idel is normal and firing order is correct.i think cel can be the issue.

hey man what the one guy meant is that your valve timing is off, the belt needs to be reinstalled, the #1 cylinder must be on TDC and the the marks on the cams need to be pointing up, there are also marks on the sides of the cam so you can line it up with the marks on the timing cover, check a haynes manual for instructions if not familiar with timing a car
