can't go lower... please help me out!
Hey guys, so here is my problem and i am really hoping that you guys can help me out.
I have a '00 Si swapped sitting on Tein Basics. I have had this set up now for about a year. Last year I was rolling on 205 40 16 tires and now i have changed rims and stayed with a 16" but bumped up my tire size. 205 45 16. Now the problem is: I had such a nice stance lastyear on the 40's but now i cannot go anylower than being level with the fender. I am hitting and scraping my inner splash guard or whatever the hell it is on the front. What can i do guys? it looks nice but just not as low as i would like.....
thank you again

Roll your fenders and bounce of the bump stops, get a camber kit so you can add more negative camber and be mad tucked JDM TyTE y0!

although tonnes of -camber is hot it's completly useless and gives shitty handling, changing to my smaller tires, i'll pass these are brand new and i'll just wait i suppose. Rolling my fenders? will this actually help? always heard of it but i believe that it is my inner fender i am hitting.

No, rolling your fenders is only needed if you're tires are hitting the inner lip of the fender. You'd be able to tell by the missing chunks of tread from the sidewall. The 10.25 mm really made that much of a difference to you? If they did then switching back is the only way you'll be happy.
Ditch the splash guard. Jack the car up and look for signs of rubbing and see where you're actually rubbing, it's quite possible with those 16s you're rubbing on the strut tower/inner fender.

this why i went with +45 and stayed with a 205 tire. when i look under my car i see the splash guard and on the outside (fenderside) the plastic is angled at approx 45 degrees and when i go over a bump or driveway the outside of the tire would hit. I just see all these guys on 15's and 16's ect. tucked a lot, like an inch into the fenders and i can barley go level. by removing the guard will i open up the engine bay to a lot more dirt and water?

Same thing happen to me with 195-55/16s, i switched to 205/40s and im good, tucking about an inch of tire. What your scraping is a thin piece is metal in your wheelwell that points straight down. DO NOT remove your in fender plastic if you dont plan on hammering/cutting off that metal edge, it will cut your tire to ****.

but this is what leads me to my big disagreement.... weather we have 14 inch rims or 18 inch rims, the fact of the matter is, tucking is tucking. an inch is an inch so i don't understand how my old 205 40's were able to tuck but my 205 45's can't. i mean i can just go level with the fender and tire and still rubs when the tire travels upwards. ahhh what a **** of
