Default anyone have +45 offset rims with 205/40

i just got some rims and they have a +42 mm offset. they rub my rear fenders pretty bad when i hit a bump. my car is lowered and i have my camber set at zero degrees. i just wanted to know if anyone out there is running an offset of +45 or greater with 205/40 tires and zero degrees camber. is +45 offset enough to solve my problem of not rubbing with 205/40 on a lowered vehicle (00si) with zero degrees camber.
any help would be nice!!!!

i have a 45 offset and i am running 205/45/16 on a 2.5" drop.....doesn't rub at all,i think your offset is your problem.

the thing about that is i will eat up the inside of my tire prematurly. i have done is many times before.

is your camber corrected with that drop?? just curious because it will push the top of the tire out towards the fender. also do your 16's tuck under the fender and how much room is there between the tire and the inside of the fender???

thanks guys

0 camber makes tires rub. negative camber makes your tires wear out faster. that's what happens when u mess with stock suspension designed for a certain tire size and ride height

offset doesnt mean anything if you dont tell us the width of the rim!

didn't know. learn something everyday. 7 inches is the width

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by dantastic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">0 camber makes tires rub. negative camber makes your tires wear out faster. that's what happens when u mess with stock suspension designed for a certain tire size and ride height</TD></TR></TABLE>

i realize that that hondas were not ment to be lowered and that changes the geometry of the suspension but to compensate i tried to do everything right by buying camber kits and better quality struts and coilovers. i went and took it to the professionals to have it aligned. i did as much research as i could, obviously not enough, but my factory tires and rims tucked under the fender with plenty of clearance when the camber was corrected. that is why i was wondering if 205/45/15 will tuck under the fender. it would follow with reason that 205/45/16 and 204/40/17 would also tuck under the fender because the width is the same if the proper offset is obtained. hence the question, will +45 offset rims with 204/40 tuck. this is why i didn't mention the width of the rim because 205 is going to 205 regardless of the width of the rim.. could you explain what the width of the rim has to do with anything. i understand the obvious of not being able to put a 205 tire on a 9.5 inch rim
