can't get topside of caliper to reach where it bolts back in
Hi I have a 98 honda civic ex automatic. After attempting to have my front brake pads changed, we can't get the top side of the caliper to reach where the bolt goes in to tighten it. The caliper fits over the new pads and the bottom of the caliper is able to be bolted back on fine but the top is like a half inch to short of reaching. Any thoughts? Advice? Would be helpful

Something may not be aligned. Remove the lower caliper bolt and pull the caliper back off. Then push the slide pins in and then try to reinstall the caliper. Once the holes line up, then install the bolts.

Problem solved- the caliper pin had something preventing it from going all the way in. Took it out sprayed it down and sprayed the pin hole and it went right in.
