Default can't get axle nut back on, new axle Or ??

can't get the axle nut back onto the end of the axle because it's slightly mushroomed.

i dont want to buy a new axle. what else can i do ? try filing it? cutting off the very end? or what?


any help please!

screw it...im just buying a new axle.....they have one in stock at the local shop....

$80 bucks aint too bad is it?

just file it a bit and dont hit it with a hammer next time, the end piece where the nut gets dented to hold wont hurn any if you file a bit off

$80 sounds a little too much

i can get 94 del sol vtec axels for $100 for both sides at adv auto

i bought a remanufactured passenger axle for $60 bucks, turned in my old axle.


60 bucks aint too shabby is it? what price can you guys get remanufactured axles at?

generally it's anyway from 40-60 if u return a core, like you did. They just rebuild the boots and stuff. i never tab the end, EVER haha. I generally kick the hub to shove the axle on. but then again im not working on a lift, then it might be different
