Axle & CV joint out of place...

Default Axle & CV joint out of place...

well, i was trying to change my clutch and tranny, and when i was pulling out the axels, the one from the driver side, the axle seemed to pop out of the CV Joint, i tryed to push it back in but it didnt budge....anyways...am i going to have to get the axle rebuilt??or can is there a way i can push it bck in??should i try to take the boot off from the CV Joint to see if i can fix it???or am i going to have to take it for a rebuilt???thanks in advance

Stand the axle on it's end traight up. Use a regular size hamer and hamer the upper end (to be safe, put a piece of wood on top so you won't damage the threads). It should pop right back in

nice...was thinkin of taking the boot out and try to see whats going on inthere..

I had to remove the boot on mine (what a mess) because the joint came completly apart. I aligned everything, which took some doing and used the above described hammer method.
Zip tied the boot back on and everythings been working fine for some time.
