Can i use my new clutch in my 93 dx when doing a si motor and trany swap?

Default Can i use my new clutch in my 93 dx when doing a si motor and trany swap?

Hey i have a 93 civic hatch dx with a stage 1 clutch. i plan to do a si motor and trany swap for my car. Can i use the clutch from my dx and use it on the si motor and trany swap. are the clutchs the same or are they diffent? thank u vary much..

Are you talking about a d16 or a b16? If it's a d16 then yes they are compadible from what I know. I just looked in the ACT catalog and they're all the same part number for a sohc.

If you do a D16 SOHC VTEC swap (ie: D16Z6 or D16Y8), then yes you can use the same clutch. In fact, all D-series clutches are interchangeable.

Not ALL are interchangeable -

pre and including 88 clutch diameter = 190mm
89 clutch diameter = 200mm
92-03 D series clutch diameter = 212mm

So to say 5th gen and up, all D series clutches are interchangeable. Sorry to be retentive.
