Default Can I use a D15B2 oil pan on a D15B7?

Like the title sez.

The monkey that owned the "egg" (white 95 dx hatch) before me torqued the crap out of the bolts for the oil pan when he replaced the gasket and bent the **** out of the pan flange. And no matter what I do, I can't get the flange straight enough to keep from leaking.

So I bought an used oil pan on eBay, and it stated that it fits both D15B2 and D15B7. I just got it today, and decided to look at the part numbers before I dropped my pan again.....and found that these two engines take different pans, at least by part number. The gasket is the same though.

So......

Are the pans interchangeable? And if so, does anyone know the difference between the two?

TIA

This seems to be the common consensus.

Anybody know the diff between the pans?

Here now is the fact.

D15B2 oils pans DO NOT fit the D15B7 or the D16Z6. The recess in the pan that houses the oil pickup is smaller on the D15B2, and hits the oil pickup mounts when trying to mount it to the B7/Z6. I suspect that the newer B7/Z6 pans will fit the D15B2, however.

So....crap. I have to try to go find another pan.
