Default can i use a 95 gsr ecu on my 00 civic

hey my buddy has a 95 gsr ecu laying around i was thinking about purchasing it from him and getting it chipped by phaerable.net would it work.... they sayed i need an obd1 ecu.. if not whihc ecu could i use.. oh im running a d16y8

get a p28 from a 92-95 civic ex/si and you will need a jumper harness to run it btw

i know but my friend just wants like 5 bucks for his ecu lol and i know its still good it came out of his totaled gsr a year ago

you cant use a b-series ecu on a d-series motor.
by the way your car is obd2b and the gsr is a obd1.
why you need a other ecu.
any mods on the d16y8.

im boostin was gonna go with a the gsr ecu and then chip it running low on funds but i guess ill sell his for some cash then get hondata... now for hondata would i be able to run the same ecu i got or do i gotta run with obd1

hondata is obd1.. just get a jumper harness

koo, so i should be fine with the gsr ecu and running hondata s200 with boost, then getting an obd2-obd1 harness? thanx sorry im a noob to this im running a stupid fmu and wanna get rid of the junk lol.

yea i know its a P.O.S. lol i mean it runs strong right now boostin 9lbs on stock internals but i know it can do more damage with the hondata? so with the hondata how does the boost work? thanx for the help
