i think the 2000 gsr ecu is one of those key coded ecu's or something. you might have to use a 99-2000 SI ecu.

if you need an ecu i have the following:
95gsr obd1 ecu
96gsr obd2 ecu
01gsr obd2b ecu
95gsr obd1 ecu
96gsr obd2 ecu
01gsr obd2b ecu

If you were to remove the jumper harness, a 00-01 Integra ECU would be plug and play. The only problem with that is the 00-01 Integra ECU's have an immobilizer.

actually he's running a 95 motor in a 99 car. if he were to run a 99-on ecu, he would be throwing up check codes because his 95 motor is missing certain obd2 sensors like the crank fluctuation, and sencondary o2 sensor, just to name a few. be better off finding a obd1 p72

Acura lagged a year in the OBD2 department (with respect to the Civic) - so 2000 Teg ECU's will plug directly into a 99 hatch, but a 99 Teg ECU will not without a OBD2b-OBD2a jumper harness.
Then you still gotta deal with the immobilizer....and the lack of OBD2 sensors on your 95 motor....
The easiest solution is to find another P72, as has been suggested.

You miss the part about OBD2, sensors and conversion harnesses?
Would it work - well, since you do NOT have the sensors that this ECU is going to be looking for, then you'll get a CEL or three. You still need a jumper harness to get this to work in your 99 hatch but with a 98 P72, you won't need to worry about the immobilizer.
