Im building a d16z6 head and wanted to know if u need to put a cam gear when up grade to a stage 2 crower cam. i been told yes and no. im not sure now.

You don't need and adjustable cam sprocket, but it will help as far as tuning is concerned.

Nope, it's really not needed...but some people either already have one and say why not or like the engine bay "bling".

I would never mess with and adjustable cam gear on a single-cam engine, but that's just me. I think they're probably more beneficial and easier to tune on a dual-cam motor.

so does any body know who might make the best cam for a d16z6? i want to put crower stage 2. but i want the most affecting cam that works best for this motor. i look at comp cams, skunk2,crower and bloxs. who is my best bet?

there are a lot of good cams out there..basically they are all the same..cam gears are needed for fine tuning..just get one and put it in the hands of a good tuner..goodluck
