I'd contact Crower, sounds like they forgot to tuck something into your cam gear box.

If you don't have any resolution by tomorrow afternoon drop me a PM, oddly enough I'll be tuning a Z6 with that exact cam in it. I can ask the owner if his came with a key or had the key built in (implying you got the wrong gear).

I'm not tuning it until tomorrow, got pushed forward a day, but I tuned it previously a year or so ago. The idle was clean and crisp, stocklike, the only thing that let you know it had a cam was it made 248 @ 12 psi on a notoriously low reading Mustang dyno, and it's been running 7.70-7.80's at the local 1/8th in a full weight 93 Si.

If you have intermittant popping at idle the first thing I look at is ignition timing. Being a SOHC, I'd make sure you didn't get a Y8 cam gear on there somehow which simultaneously throws mechanical and ignition timing off 4.3 degrees @ cam/9.75 degrees @ crank. The part numbers you listed in your original post are Z6 parts, but **** happens and stuff gets swapped around. Never hurts to check, either, as the more you know about your car the better off you are when it comes time to fix those odd little problems.
