Cam gear question Help!!!!
I just bought a new adjustable cam gear... but when I compare the new one with the stock one... the new one has 40 tooth and the stock 38... is that ok.... or maybe I have the wrong cam for my civic D series...? the brand is 'Volution Racing'

Then I would think it is fine. If it is the same size it doesn't change the ratio of 2:1 between the cam and crank.
EDIT: I can't read and I thought I asked if they were the same size not if one was bigger.
on me for that one.

No, it's not okay. Assuming you had the correct original sprocket on your motor, you were sent the wrong part. Return it and buy the proper sprocket for you application.

Oh, wait...no, I read that completely wrong. I don't think it is OK that the new gear is bigger. I'm thinking that you got the wrong one.

Ok... just to be sure... there is no way that a bigger sproket with more tooths is gonna work properly in my car... cuz I have to argue that with the vendor since he does not want to exchange the part.. cuz he sais the sproket is for civic D-Serie
